New Pictures!
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008Yesterday, I sent an email to Maury, our caseworker at FTIA, asking if we get periodic updates on Xiao Ying. The measurements we had were a year old, and I thought they might do this regularly. She said she’d ask. Well, today we got not only new measurements but new pictures and a letter from her. It’s written in Chinese, but had been translated. What a wonderful gift!
The translation is:
Dear mom, dad and sister,
How are you? I have received the album you sent to me. I have known you after look at it over and over. I have fallen in love with you. When are you coming to China and take me home? I look forward to seeing you soon. Now I am in second grade. I love school. I am learning English. I am fostered now. My foster parents are very nice to me. I have never stopped thinking of a real home though. I want to talk to you. I feel so blessed to be your daughter and to live with you forever. Thank you for you love to me. I will be a good daughter.
Best wishes to you.
Mao Xiao Ying, your daughter
